Birds Paradise Store has been training and breeding parrots for sale for more than 8 years. We’ve been breeding and raising birds for most of our lives. We began by selling only Congo African Grey and by carefully planning all of these years we are now producing some of the finest Macaw, Cockatoo, African Grey, Amazon, Cockatiel and more that can be found in the the world.
As a parrot breeder, we specialize in happy, well-adjusted companion parrots. Confident, highly socialized babies can be your friends for life. Our baby parrots start out under their parents and then are brought into our intensive care nursery.
There, they receive lots of nurturing and gentle handling; they start out in the world feeling safe and secure. As the parrot babies develop, we add different colors and textures of toys and foods to explore with curious beaks and tongues.
When they are ready, we move them from environmentally controlled brooders to natural baskets draped with colorful towels across their handles which are contained in playpens that we have in the nursery. From these baskets, which resemble natural nests, they decide when they are brave enough to peek out of their “nests” and eventually come out on their own.
When they are brave enough, we move the playpen into the family room where they learn to fly, first by flying from one basket handle to another, or from one playpen to another, eventually from playstand to playstand. As they develop good flying and landing skills we gradually trim their flight feathers so they gain strength and skills without gaining speed. When they are ready, we move them into cages in our parrot playroom.
From the time they hatch they are raised with special socializing procedures. Good behavior is lovingly rewarded and boundaries are set at an early age. Our juvenile parrots are exposed to lots of common household items so they are familiar with them.They are socialized with different humans, both men and women. Our parrots are also raised with a variety of other parrots.
Here at Birds Paradise Store, our breeding birds also have good lives. Birds Paradise Store healthy breeding birds live comfortably in a state-of-the-art breeding facility. They are fed the best possible diet, observed on a daily basis and are visited by excellent avian veterinarians, both traditional and holistic, to keep them in tip-top condition.
We specialize in the breeding, training and taming of different types of parrots. These would be Macaws, Cockatoos, Amazon and African Grey parrots. We love all types of parrots, and our experience and scope of access have led us to specialize in these different types in order to provide each of our birds with the attention required to attain complete nurturing, development, taming, training and socialization. This goes a long way to preparing the baby parrots for their new homes. Also, our executive staff are highly and reliably experienced in these different types of parrots. Birds Paradise Store only sells weaned birds.
We guarantee a minimum standard of good behavior to be expected of birds bred and nurtured by us. We have dedicated departments for weaning, taming, training, socialization and evaluation of the birds. We follow a standardized procedure of raising and preparing baby birds for their new homes, which is flexible enough to adapt to the varying natures of the birds.Birds purchased from us are guaranteed to be healthy, hand tamed, weaned and socialized!
We are very keen on preventing cases where pet parrots are handed up to shelters due to behavioral problems and incompatibility. We also have an internal Certified Avian Veterinarian who ensures and assures the health of the birds. We all feel very sad to encounter a pet parrot who has been degraded to feather plucking and we are committed to preventing such situations. We are always on hand to provide advice, tips and support before, during and after the purchase of any bird from us.
All our birds are healthily bred and all our processes and procedures are closely monitored and supervised to minimize the health risks in the baby parrots. All our baby parrots are guaranteed to be DISEASE TESTED negative for Polyomavirus (PVD), Avian Borna virus (ABV), Proventricular Dilatation Disease (PDD), Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease (PBFD), and Chlamydia psittaci. This is extremely important in ensuring a healthy, lifelong family member.
Birds Paradise Store received a perfect Model Aviculture Program (MAP) certification score. According to Bird Talk 1/97, “you can be assured of a certain level of husbandry and professionalism by buying birds from a MAP-certified facility.”
